Luna Lapin Wool Coat

Event Details

Come and enjoy a day embellishing the panels on a very special coat for your Luna Lapin. The class will be run by Sara Dennis of the Royal School of Needlework.

We will use surface stitch techniques to enhance Luna’s wool felt coat. Stitches will include: back stitch – various versions, chain stitch – heavy, continuous and detached, stem stitch, split stitch, fly stitch, French knots and pistils. Using DMC stranded cotton to create a flower garden, all fabric, threads and equipment will be supplied, along with detailed instructions so that you can finish your coat at home. Sara is always happy to answer questions after the class, and all stitchers are welcome.

Your kit – worth £23 plus teas/coffees/cake, is included in the ticket price. There will be a certain amount of flexibility in the coat base colour and you will get instructions/pattern and materials for a coordinating dress too. You will need to bring a packed lunch or research some of the great places to eat in Kendal (we are allowing for a short lunch break/ leg stretch – or use it to shop instore with your 10% discount!)

You will finish your coat sewing at home using CoolCrafting instructions.
