Goldwork Lion Workshop

Come and enjoy a day of stitching, in beautiful surroundings. The lion is appliquéd silk on silk ready for us to stitch using a variety of metal threads. We will be working with Japanese thread, pearl purl, chipping and silk covered pearl purl. Pick up tips on how to handle gold threads and much more.

The workshop lasts from 10am to 4pm, we will be learning how to create this Goldwork Lion and I will take you through Goldwork including history, materials, design considerations and all the relevant stitches. 

All levels of stitchers are welcome from beginners to experts!

Everything required to create your adorable Goldwork Lion will be provided in your included kit. Coffee or tea and delicious cakes from Atkinson's fabulous cafe just across the courtyard is included.

The workshop takes place in my lovely studio in Lancaster Castle which is easy to get to, by train, bus or car, with the station only 5 minutes away and plenty of pay and display spaces outside the castle.

There is a maximum of eight students to ensure everyone gets personal support.
