Goldwork Lion Day Class - Carlisle | Sara Dennis Embroidery

Event Details

The lion is appliquéd silk on silk ready for us to stitch using a variety of metal threads. We will be working with Japanese thread, pearl purl, chipping and gilt twist. Pick up tips on how to handle gold threads and much more.

We will be learning how to create this Goldwork Lion and I will take you through Goldwork including history, materials, design considerations and all the relevant stitches.

All levels of stitchers are welcome from beginners to experts!

Everything required to create your adorable Goldwork Lion will be provided in your included kit.

The workshop takes place in Botcherby Community Centre - and is currently sold out but do check with CUTS just in case.
