Stumpwork Viola Workshop

Join me in my spacious studio nestled in the courtyard of the historic Lancaster Castle for this intermediate stumpwork class. Learn how to master the 3-dimensional art of stumpwork embroidery and create a charming brooch that will complete any Sunday best outfit.

Learn how to do the basics of Stumpwork, take your embroidery off the canvas with this 3-dimensional stitching technique. Materials will be provided including coffee and cake. The class will run from 10-4 with a break for lunch at the adjacent, award-winning Atkinson's Coffee.

Don't worry if you haven't finished, the kits have everything required and you will learn all the necessary techniques to finish at home. With a sample flower provided there are no mistakes in stumpwork!

This class is aimed at intermediate embroiders who have a solid grasp of basic stitching technique and are comfortable with silk-shading.

Included Items

Everything required will be provided in the included kit with a coffee and cake break provided from Atkinson's Coffee, which is also located in the forecourt. If you desire something more filling there is a selection of sandwiches and soups available for purchase.

Travel

Lancaster station is a 5 minute walk from the castle, with ample pay and display parking just outside the castle walls.

There is a maximum of eight students to ensure everyone gets personal support.
